Law Of Attraction- Does Your Diet Influence It?

Updated on December 22, 2013

The other day, a friend said to come by; she had a gift for me.

She led me to her kitchen and handed over a bag of chia seeds and some chia seed recipes. Then, with what I'd call a smirk, she grabbed a spoon and made me taste a tablespoon of "chia gel".

Now, don't get me wrong. I appreciated her concern for my well-being. But I don't do well with any unknown substance that looks like THE BLOB being inserted into my mouth.

But I had no choice. She held the spoon up to my mouth, I closed my eyes and took the spoonful of gop. Tasteless, it was no big deal.

I brought the bag home and set it on top of the refrigerator, right along with everything else I never plan to look at again.

Who Cares About Fatty Acids?

Of course I knew about the importance of fatty acids. Years ago I had some pretty serious health problems, and tried just about everything to get well. Looking back, I'm so thankful for the illness- it changed my world.

It forced me to step away from "Plan A "- which is " I guess I have to live my life the way I was taught, even it hasn't worked for me in any way, shape, or form". Instead, I switched to "Plan B" which is " We weren't created to suffer. We have the ability to create our own reality!"

Plan B is exciting, because I learned that we can work with frequency, or "energy" to recreate our own life. And that's where I realized just HOW IMPORTANT fatty acids are: We are electrical.

FATTY ACIDS GENERATE OUR ELECTRICAL CURRENT!

And if your electricity, or vibration, is low, you can't manifest the life you desire!

And if that's not enough to get you going, here's more specific info:

They regulate many body processes- : cardiovascular function, immune system processes and maintenance of the musculoskeletal system.

They make the lubricants for joints

They transport cholesterol

They are needed by the tissues of the brain

They ensure proper nerve transmission

They ensure adequate bone formation and repair

I learned the energy medicine didn't work as well without them. In fact, noting did- they really were "essential"

Of course the reason they're called "essential" is because our body can't make them- we have to get them from food or supplements.

And because most people don't understand this, they just don't do that. In fact 99% of Americans are deficient in fattty acids.

What Dr. Oz Has To Say On The Subect

Why Dr. Oz says the fatty acid supplement is the most important one!

So Do You Get It?

The Law of Attraction is a huge misconception!

Many don't understand that the law of attraction isn't just about thinking the right thoughts.

It's about VIBRATIONAL DISCONNECTION from what you want.

Vibration is the whole deal.

Many are putting out HUGE negative vibration, but are not conscious of it.

Are they thinking negative thoughts? Not necessarily.

It could just be poor habits, particularly regarding nutrition.

Fatty acids play a major role in all this.

A Natural Remedy For Depression?

So anyway, a couple of days later another friend came by with (imagine this) chia seeds!

Seems she now puts it in her water so is DRINKING chia gel and talking about chia recipes.

Now before all this happened the only CHIA I ever knew was a friend of my daughter's when she was in middle school. He was a great kid; cute as a button, but ran around with his pants down below his underwear. I didn't know how he got the name Chia, and wasn't too keen on finding out.

This is what I was thinking about as she mixed some chia/water/gel up for me and watched while I drank it.

Now I can take a hint. Obviously these people think I need chia seeds. They're both in alternative health and know how much I like burgers, pizza, and basically, things I shouldn't have. I'm not proud of this, and do work to add whole foods to my diet. But most of my life this has been a source of stress because I like the bad stuff.

But it wasn't my health that made me think twice about all this. It was the Law of Synchronicity.

The Law of Synchronicity shows off the power of the subconscious mind. The law of the mind says that when your subconscious mind is trying to get your attention things will happen repeatedly.

Since I work with energy I believe the energy matrix around us has a solution to every problem. The subconscious will create situations to put us in touch with that energy.

SO, I took all these events to be a sign that I should read up on chia seeds.

I'm blown away.

The little seed is full of proteins, calcium, omega 6 fatty acids...

and just about everything else you can think of that you're supposed to have every day, and usually don't.

But you've got to have them in that gel form. THE BLOB.

They should be mixed with water to make the gel (9 parts water to 1 part seeds). If you try to eat them dry or even put them dry in foods like yogurt, they might pull water from your intestinal tract. (Although the video below says, dry, they're good for an upset stomach; guess there are times you need to pull a little water out!)

Here's a detailed description on how to make the gel :

Add 1/3 cup seed to 2 cups pure warm water.

Put warm water into a container with a tight fitting lid. Pour dry seed into water. Shake container right away for 15 seconds. Let stand for 1 minute and shake well again. Mixture (chia gel) will store for 2 weeks in the refrigerator.

Add this mix 50%-75% equal parts (by weight) to sauces drinks, yogurt salad dressing, cream cheese, jams, jellies, preserves, salsa, hot/cold cereals, puddings, soups and just about anything else you can think of.

Chia seeds' hydrophilic structure holds the water, so when mixed with the above mentioned foods it displaces calories and fat without diluting the flavor. Chia is also excellent for fat in baked goods recipes.

For every pound of dry seed you get 10 lb of chia gel!

That spoonful of gel in the mouth doesn't work for me, so most of the time I do my best to mix it with something. But I do plan to get 2T of gel in one form or another, 3 times a day.

For example, I put it in my morning protein smoothie. It actually makes it better, because chia gel acts as a thickener. However, it also slows down carbohydrate release in the body. If you're a diabetic, this is good news.

However, if you're a little overweight, this can be good news also.

When I know I'm going to eat something loaded with calories, I take a couple of tablespoons first. It really isn't all that bad. Just a while ago I even had 2T of the gel before I ate my California Whopper. :-)

It makes you feel full faster.

It improves elimination because of the fiber.

It has: 6x more calcium than whole milk.

3x more iron than spinach.

15x more magnesium than broccoli.

40% omega 3 fatty acids; highest source of omega 3s out there!

Chia seeds are the top foods for fatty acids and are a big boost to our fatty acid metabolism.

Omega-3 deficiency is the sixth biggest killer of Americans!

What is not as well known, is that the chia seed is THE BEST source of Omega-3. CHIA SEED IS BETTER THAN FISH OIL & FLAX SEED!

The optimum ratio of Omega-3 to Omega-6 should be 3:1. Chia seed provides that ratio.

--No contamination from pesticices, insecticides, or heavy metals

--Large amounts of b vitamins

--It has boron! (this is a big deal because our soil is depleted of boron, and we need it for, among other things, our mental health!)

Here's a recipe- this is absolutely delicious!

Quinoa Confetti

1 cup Quinoa (white)

2 cups Water

Coarse Ingredients:

1/3 cup Green Onions Diced

1/3 cup Parsley Chopped

1/2 cup Craisins (dried cranberries) Chopped

1/2 cup Raisins Chopped

1/2 cup Dried Apricots Chopped

1 cup Green Apple Diced

1/3 cup Almonds Chopped

Dressing Ingredients:

1/4 cup Fresh Lemon Juice

1 tbsp Water

2 T Chia Gel (it called for 1 T olive oil but I substituted the chia gel as they say it substitutes well for fat in baked goods recipes so I thought why not try it in this recipe as well)

2/3 tsp Curry Powder

1 1/2 tsp Ground Coriander

½ cup cottage cheese

Step 1: Cooking Quinoa

- Boil two cups of water with a pinch of salt and pepper.

- Rinse 1 cup Quinoa under water then stir into boiling water.

- Bring back to boil then immediately reduce to low temperature.

- Cover and simmer for 12 to 15 minutes until water is dissolved and the Quinoa has exposed a little tail.

- Remove from burner and let stand and cool to room temperature.

Step 2: Preparing Dressing

- In a small bowl whisk together all "Dressing Ingredients" then put to the side.

Step 3: Combining Ingredients

- In a large mixing bowl, toss together your cooled Quinoa, and all chopped "Coarse Ingredients" until evenly mixed.

- Add "Dressing" and toss mixture again until even covered with dressing.

YUM!
